Sexual contact between psychotherapists and their patients

Until relatively recently the issue of the sexual abuse of patients in psychotherapy had received little attention in the theoretical and research literature. It is now an established area of attention in the United States, but it is only within the past year or so that the issue has been taken up in the United Kingdom.
