ABSTRACT
This heading refers to the breeding of an impossible species, the cross between the different lineages, a way in which we conceive the influence of MRI ideas on our work within Argentine culture: On one hand, an emphasis on pragmatism, problem resolution, and interaction, together with the belief that people are capable of solving their difficulties with brief and limited assistance; on the other hand, a culture fond of a declamatory style that considers "problem solving" as cold and inhuman sounding-where symptoms are looked at from an individual psychoanalytical perspective, where the dominant idea is that individuals are sick, not responsible for their own actions, and require long periods of treatment.
