ABSTRACT

Margaret Atwood, glanced at her watch as she hurriedly walked past the waiting room to her office. An hour behind, she groaned inwardly, she could hear the noise from the waiting room. Sharon Thompson-born 1949. Sharon returned four months later to get her sore ears and throat checked-she had a particularly bad cold. She checked her and concluded that she really needed an antibiotic because her ear drums were red. She spent her childhood on a farm in central Alberta. Both parents were alive, although the marriage had dissolved when Sharon was 15. Margaret talked about simple exercises like walking and questioned her about life-style issues. She thought she could try a few changes but she didn't want pills and didn't want to go to physiotherapy. Margaret thinks she was understanding that she can decide the role she wants to play. It doesn't have to be dictated by her past-by all that sexual abuse.
