ABSTRACT
A. Constraints on Conditioning: the Issues The term "constraints on learning" -or, equivalently, "constraints on conditioning"-has come to refer to a diverse collection of demonstrations that qualitatively different events in conditioning lead to different results (see Shettleworth, 1972, for a review). A number of cases in which stimuli and reinforcers seem to interact have been discussed by LoLordo (Ch. 14).
