Completing an Experience
Viewing oneself with a greater level of awareness, the people may use communication strategies to enhance relationships. Making selective assertiveness a part of one’s personal lifestyle, the individual may begin to live more fully. Saying good-bye is a way of ending an experience. It brings out into the open the separation between the person and the experience. The participants should take some time to talk about the experiences. The leader helps people to complete the experience of close emotional contact that has developed among group members. Saying good-bye ends the experience in a way that is complete. When people say good-bye, they should talk in terms of the positive learning, growth, and development that occurred. They should think about the process of ending.
