ABSTRACT
This paper explores the mandate of therapy in the context of the quality of human survival. Transgenerational solidarity is, of course, a biological “mechanism” of the survival of each higher species of animals. Each parent-child relationship constitutes a link in the chain of transgenerational survival. In most animals, the quality of parenting is usually sufficient or else the offspring dies. Humans can produce parentally deprived, yet surviving, offspring.
