ABSTRACT
The importance of considering cultural and ethnic influences on black families involved in therapeutic processes has been the focus of several recent investigations (Boyd-Franklin, 1989; Hines & Boyd-Franklin, 1982; McGoldrick, Pearce, & Giordano, 1982; Pinderhughes, 1982). In particular, attention has been focused on the concept of biculturality and its accompanying characteristics.
