ABSTRACT

Power and control issues are extremely common in marital relationships and simply reflect the experience of women in the society at large. Therapists, therefore, must routinely check for these in marital assessments and family sessions by asking about jealousy, possessiveness, unwillingness for husbands to have partners visit people without them, and money decisions.
