ABSTRACT
Although the child and youth care field has experienced enormous growth in the past 10 years, the general direction of this growth has ignored the role of the administrator in the development and maintenance of quality programs. This chapter argues for recognition of the administrator’s role as key to quality and presents recommendations to support the professional preparation and training of administrators.
