ABSTRACT
This section contains a selection of chapters that will be of interest to students, practitioners and instructors (both trainers and academics) alike. In recent years, at a number of child and youth care conferences, the call has been heard for more programs that will strengthen the educational foundation upon which any profession must stand. The chapters which follow address a variety of significant issues and present innovative developments in child care education and training.
