ABSTRACT
Maintaining and supporting the quality of the social work field practicum is a critical contemporary issue facing social work education, and one that greatly impacts on the practice-education relationship. Field education provides an arena for skill development, knowledge integration, and affective learning; as such, it is a pivotal core component in the professional education process.
