ABSTRACT
This study explores the views held by supervisors of micro and macro practice on the supervisory process for social work students. Data were gathered through in-person interviews with 40 supervisors of each group drawn from 2 schools of social work. Findings indicate that many currently accepted beliefs about, and approaches toward, supervision are less applicable for education of macro than micro practitioners, although social work educators believe them to be appropriate for all social work education.
