ABSTRACT

SUMMARY. This paper demonstrates how the theory and research related to the Circumplex Model have guided the development and operation of a treatment program targeted at intrafamily child sexual abuse. The authors demonstrate how the Circumplex Model fits into a larger assessment framework. Suggestions for utilizing FACES III with this population are offered along with typical patterns evidenced by incest families. A case illustration shows how the approach is useful in treatment planning and in guiding therapeutic interventions.
