ABSTRACT

In the light of the somewhat disappointing results of scanning training, described in Chapter 5, the question arises as to what other rehabilitation attempts might improve neglect? Many forms of neglect intervention attempt to activate the brain on the affected side, with the intention of improving the patient’s ability to attend to the affected side. In this chapter, we consider a number of different approaches, some of which have been tested clinically, and others which although (as yet) unproven may nevertheless be of potential value.
