ABSTRACT
As the end of the twentieth century approaches, changes in society appear to be flowing swiftly and in different directions. Educational programs for pregnant and parenting teens seem to be at the center of some changes and caught in the wake of others. Birth is the central act of our humanity. Giving life and caring for our children and our families is at the core of our daily life. Pregnant and parenting teenagers are therefore today's lightening rod and seem to attract the emotional, psychological, and metaphysical concerns of the general population.
