ABSTRACT
In keeping with the naturalistic decision making (NDM) tradition of studying "real people making real decisions" in their everyday contexts, our mission was to understand flight-related decision making by commercial airline pilots: What constitutes effective flight crew decision making? What conditions pose problems for crews and lead to poor decisions?
