ABSTRACT
To summarize at the onset, this chapter is devoted to: (a) describing a recent conference on outcomes research in medical rehabilitation organized by the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR), (b) communicating some of the recommendations eminating from that conference that are especially relevant to the rehabilitation of persons with traumatic brain injury (TBI), and (c) presenting a background sketch of NCMRR to provide a setting for the conference description and recommendations.
