ABSTRACT
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is one of the oldest consultation and liaison programs providing Pediatric Psychology services to children and families in a medical hospital. This mental health service focuses on the provision of psychological services to children with acute, chronic, or terminal medical illnesses, to prevent the emergence of emo tional problems or to provide early intervention to treat psychological problems of children and adolescents seen in outpatient and inpatient medical settings.
