ABSTRACT
In French correspondence analysis (CA), there is a distinction between CA and multiple correspondence analysis (MCA). CA applies to the contingency table, and MCA to multiple-choice data. Although dual scaling can be applied to both data types without much attention to the differences between them, it is instructive to know their similarities and differences. This section will look at them first as an introduction to dual scaling of multiple-choice data.
