ABSTRACT
The basic tenents of social psychology and how social psychological variables affect the development of human behavior have been discussed in previous chapters. In this chapter, we examine the influences of some of these variables on the referral, testing, and evaluation of schoolchildren. Particular emphases are given to cultural, social interpersonal, and organizational factors in our discussion.
