Multidimensional Causal Models of Delinquent Behavior and Their Implications for T reatm ent

Most studies of delinquency evaluate the effects of several potential corre­ lates. These variables are usually examined either individually or in conjunc­ tion with one mediating variable. This section briefly reviews the consistent findings that have emerged in this literature. Such a review provides a framework from which to view the more complex multivariate studies that are discussed in the subsequent section.
