Actor Richard Dreyfuss was discussing his drug problems before about 850 people at the University of Maryland when he noticed reporters in the audience.
Even though he was giving an open speech at a public university, the Oscar-winning star of The Goodbye Girl and other films declared the evening a "nonquotable experience." As the campus newspaper reported, Dreyfuss demanded that journalists abide by this "gentlemen's agreement."
