ABSTRACT
Are theories about career choice and development all that different from each other? Does one have to choose sides and pick a favorite theory? What practical difference does it make which theory you favor? A central thesis of this chapter is that, although differing in emphasis and vocabulary, the major career theories are not in fundamental disagreement.
