ABSTRACT
For a yoked control design individuals are paired and one member of each pair is assigned at random to the two groups: experimental and control. A subject in the experimental group receives a consequence (C) contingent upon some response (R); its paired subject in the control group receives the same consequence at the same time, independently of its response. (See Table 16.1.) The same measure of performance is taken for subjects in the two groups.
