The tagline is a phrase in an advertisement that is designed to drive home a key point about the company. It is often short and to the point. It is based on the company’s image and the message presented in a specific text. A tagline can be both verbal and written, such as when one appears on the screen accompanied by a voice-over on a television ad. A tagline can be verbal only, on radio or television. Some taglines are found only in print. A brief tagline may appear on a billboard or outdoor advertisement. The tagline for MasterCard is “For everything else, there is MasterCard.”
