ABSTRACT

Group therapy is one of the most naturalistic and therapeutic laboratories for interpersonal learning and relationships. It truly is an elegant representation in microcosm of the family, society, and civilization. This chapter presents different approaches are as follows: group analytical-medical model approach, an occupational therapy approach, process-directed group work approach, reality therapy approach, a family art therapy systems approach analysis using the psychodramatic modality approach, psychoanalytic object relational group therapy approach, and Alfred Adler's individual psychology approach. Group therapy appears to be an appropriate avenue to clarify, understand, and possibly resolve the issues. The reflection of groups in the individual and the converse are also examined, as well as the time frames of past, present, and future. Experience is examined in the realms of emotion, cognition, sensation, movement, dreams, and imagination. Experience can be explored in depth and breadth in various realms, including the interactive relationship between the individual, the group, and cultural, social, political, and spiritual contexts.
