ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the issues have been gleaned from the American Psychological Association Group Psychotherapy Forum, an online discussion group. This particular forum was established in 1995 by Haim Weinberg for professionals working in this field who were interested in group therapy. According to Weinberg, the main objective was and continues to be the facilitation of the exchange of ideas among group therapists all over the world. Members on this forum consult colleagues, seek academic references, discuss and suggest new group techniques, dialogue about research, describe their professional experiences, and inform others about important conferences and workshops worldwide. Any clinician or student seriously interested in group therapy and issues in psychology may wish to join this very worthwhile, erudite, and informative forum on the Internet. The chapter also discusses the initial postings to the group and the responses are from colleagues all over the globe.
