Sex Therapy with “A New View”
Even well-intentioned, feminist sex therapists face many challenges in conducting a woman-friendly sex therapy. Many of these challenges originate in limitations set by male-defined constructs and models that obscure the complexities of women’s sexual relating. A New View of fers us a springboard to begin articulating the varieties of sexual relating in women (and men), something urgently needed given recent media coverage about female sexual dysfunction that mostly focuses on medi cal interventions. inist sex therapists, having incorporated its principles, refer to our work as occurring with a “new view.” Here are some possible applications.
