Sex Therapy with “A New View”

Even well-intentioned, feminist sex therapists face many challenges in conducting a woman-friendly sex therapy. Many of these challenges originate in limitations set by male-defined constructs and models that obscure the complexities of women’s sexual relating. A New View of­ fers us a springboard to begin articulating the varieties of sexual relating in women (and men), something urgently needed given recent media coverage about female sexual dysfunction that mostly focuses on medi­ cal interventions.
