The Taming of the Screw: Reflections on “A New View of Women’s Sexual Problems”

As a mother and grandmother, I applaud the New View’s emphasis on sex education and development of relationship-friendly descriptive language. My fervent hope is that my brand new granddaughter and my grandson, an 11-year-old jock with the old soul of a Tibetan lama, will never be subjected to the deep humiliation I felt as a young person-first at not knowing what to ask for as a sexual being, and then at knowing no language with which to communicate it. May they never feel sick or im moral for craving sexual pleasure. And may they never have to seek ad vice from doctors whose sexual wisdom is limited to DSM diagnoses.
