Easing the Homework Struggle

Many ADD children find homework overwhelming. The difficulty of getting started on unpleasant tasks rears its head when homework time comes around as the child faces many of his or her shortcomings all at once. Forgetfulness, incomprehension, lack of interest, difficulty remaining seated, trouble focusing, boredom, and inability to organize or to break down assignments into smaller units are a few of the many reasons ADD children will do as much as they can to avoid homework.
