Duringadulthooditisestimatedthatbetweenoneandfourtooneand tenadultwomenwillberapedorsexuallyassaultedduringtheirlifetimes.Similarfiguresarefoundforchildren.Morethan2millionreportsofchildabuseandneglectsituationsareinvestigatedannually. Violenceisalsofoundindomesticarrangementsandcanbeexpressedbyphysical,sexual,orpsychologicalassault(O'Neill,2000; Vallianatos,2000;Hall,1995;Finkelhor,1984;Koss,1993).
