Thischapterisaboutthecriminaljusticesystemandthosewho workwithsexoffenders.Primarily,threeprofessionalclustergroups aremostlikelytodealwithpersonsaccusedorconvictedofsexual crimes,asidefromthoseinthejudicialsystem.Thesegroupsmayincludethoseindirectlawenforcementservices,correctionalstaff,and probationandparoleofficers.Typically,sexoffendersgaintheattentionofthecriminaljusticesystemafterareporthasbeenfiledthat sometypeofsexualmisconducthasoccurred.
