ABSTRACT

From time to time, even the best, most seasoned therapists feel stuck. Often with obstreperous clients and sometimes even with the most motivated, both therapists and clients sometimes trip again and again over a subtle but keenly felt barrier to change. These are the vexing times when both therapists and clients feel like Sisyphus pushing the rock up the hill, only to have it roll back down, each time generating an ordeal and diminishing hope for everyone involved.
