ABSTRACT
One herbarium specimen may be a single plant, several plants, or portions of a plant or plants, that have been dried or otherwise preserved. Such specimens are kept for future reference in some form of storage units which are usually constructed specially and housed in a special room or building set aside for the purpose (herbarium).
