ABSTRACT
Over the course of their evolutionary history, insects have become adapted to exploit a wide variety of environmental features, often in ways that bring them into direct conflict with man. While mankind seeks to preserve certain artefacts for cultural reasons, insects seek to utilize them as alternatives to the natural habitats to which they are adapted.
