ABSTRACT

I think we ought to have high—high standards and set by—by agencies that rely upon science, not by what may feel good or what sound good [sic]. And I think it’s important to give people time to say we’re going to conform to standards, and if they don’t, I think we ought to fine them. I mean, I think we ought to be tough when it comes to our environmental laws. But I don’t—I don’t believe that [the Clinton administration] has got it right when it comes to the environment. They try to sue our way to clean air and clean water or regulate our air—way to clean air and clean water [sic].
