From The Liberating Spirit: Toward a Hispanic American Pentecostal Social Ethic

The ideal type or profile of "Homo Hispanicus" 1 provides us eight basic categories which summarize the cultural traits and value orientation of Hispanics. These are ultimately placed at the service or become the means, in an anthropological sense, to that particular style of approach to union with God-Hispanic spirituality! In its most authentic and significant expressions Hispanic spirituality coheres with these eight culture traits and value orientations. These are "our own wells" from which we must drink. They are our Hispanic heritage; they are our sources, they are us.
