ABSTRACT

For the majority of pupils for the majority of the time the teacher will be seeking to maintain and develop their relationship with the curriculum and the range of learning behaviours associated with this. It will not be necessary to specifically target relationship with self or relationship with others, only to have regard for these. Rather, in seeking to foster a positive relationship with the curriculum, the teacher will:

• seek to recognise any opportunities to strengthen relationship with self and/ or relationship with others in order to support the pupil’s relationship with the curriculum;

• keep a watchful eye on any practices and approaches employed to develop relationship with the curriculum to identify any risks they may pose to relationship with self and/ or relationship with others.
