ABSTRACT

M O T I VAnON HA S ITS BASI S in physiological processes. Inthis chapter we will look at the anatomical structures underlying these mechanisms and the principles of physiology on which they operate. I will concentrate on the two major systems which organise the funct ions of the body: the nervous system and the endocrine system. I will only give sufficient detail for you to understand the location and function of components of those systems to which I refer in the remaining chapters.
