ABSTRACT
As a professional body of Jungian analysts the Society has provided a training programme since its foundation in 1946. This course is offered to those with the desire to become analysts who have the necessary personal qualities and experience. The programme has evolved and changed over the years since its inauguration. Originally trainee analysts attended one year of lectures followed by the supervised analysis of a patient and voluntary attendance at seminars.
