ABSTRACT
Copyright law has two basic functions, a property function and an authenticity function, both seeking to establish who is the author of a work. As the history of copyright shows, the property function is now widely accepted in international copyright law – though this was not always the case. The author is then regarded as the single source and is held responsible for this work.
