Conclusion, recommendations and implications for further study
The final chapter comprises two sections in order to draw this volume to a close. First, the main points the volume has brought to the debate on the procurement of sexual services in the twenty-first century are summarised, including the mnemonic ‘5WH’ that reflects five core questions used to reveal the key aspects of the procurement of sexual services. The development of the definition of well being, specific to purchasers of sexual services and the MAPSS model are also reflected upon in this chapter. Finally, there is reflection on the limitations of the empirical research presented within this volume, these limitations are not only reflected on, but also used to build up a series of new directions for future research into the procurement of sexual services.
