ABSTRACT

Delayed ejaculation (DE) is also referred to as inhibited ejaculation, retarded ejaculation, ejaculatory incompetence, male orgasmic disorder, impaired ejaculation, impaired orgasm, delayed orgasm, inhibited orgasm, anejaculation, and ejaculatory inhibition (Althof, 2012). The numerous ways to refer to delayed ejaculation give some indication of the diffi culties in coming to agreement about not only what it is, but how to effectively treat it (Richardson & Goldmeier, 2006). Of all the male sexual disorders, DE relies most on clinical and anecdotal observations for treatment. Virtually no empirical studies for treatment are available (Hartmann & Waldinger, 2007; McMahon et al., 2010; McMahon, Jannini, Waldinger, & Rowland, 2013).
