The Pagan Sources
The Christian Church has become an organization of domination, either in the interest of its own dignitaries, or the dignitaries of another organization, the State, where the latter has succeeded in getting control of the Church. The struggle for the Church, as well as the struggle against the Church, has therefore become a party cause, with which the most important economic interests are bound up. To be sure, at least in "enlightened", "cultured" circles Jesus is no longer considered a God, but he is still regarded as an extraordinary personage, who set out to found a new religion and succeeded in this effort to the remarkable degree that is so generally apparent. The lame walked, the blind saw, the sick were healed, the dead were raised, demons were expelled, and the laws of Nature were frequently suspended for the benefit of the church.
