ABSTRACT
A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings. Hippocrates (date unknown).
This chapter considers some of the many specifi c health needs and conditions relating to people with learning disabilities. Three guiding principles are recommended to be applied in all circumstances, whether the person has a common syndrome or a rare genetic disorder.
