ABSTRACT

This chapter describes how students appreciated others. Appreciation helps us work with colleagues to ensure the success of learners. Teachers who feel appreciated dedicate more time and effort to additional projects and duties that help the school environment. The teachers in their study reported feeling more confident in performing leadership duties, because they knew their principal believed in them. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts award patches for different achievements. Now have a patches online called digital badges. Digital badges are given to students to recognize hard work, kindness, and achievement. Web tools like Edmodo, EduClipper, and ClassBadges allow teachers to create badges and send them to their students. These tools also have a library of ready-made badges to choose from, designed by other teachers. Teacher need to look at our schools and classrooms as communities and discover ways to improve communication, collaboration, and relationships. Encouraging students to voice their appreciation of work helps them to recognize their peer's talents.
