Asymmetrical and Colliding Idealizations

Robin seemed lifeless, drained of color. Pale, dressed in loosely fitting monochromatic clothing that camouflaged her figure, she spoke listlessly in a soft, flat voice as she described a life that sounded as beige as her appearance. Robin lived alone, had few friends and found her career empty despite its potential creative aspect. She seemed unable to invoke the idea of a better life and spent the bulk of her free time reading, an activity that was more distracting than genuinely pleasurable.
