ABSTRACT

Design feedback is the component of the Data-Driven Instructional System (DDIS) model that allows district officials to adjust current or ongoing initiatives based on results and to evaluate how information is being shared with the stakeholders in the school district, including students, parents, teachers, administrators, school board members, and the community. In both the Barkdale School District and my school district, students are given reports that provide feedback (like report cards), progress reports, and assessment results when they are taken. Parents, teachers, administrators, school board members, and the community all receive feedback on district performance and initiatives in a variety of ways.
