ABSTRACT

Capitalism is an economic system based on the production for profit. The profits also provide the financial means to finance capital accumulation. Currently, the Chinese economy grows more rapidly than the rest of the world. According to the Chinese mainstream media, currently there are about 100 million second generation migrant workers. Most of these people had no experience in agricultural production. According to a report by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences about 80 percent of the non-agricultural labor force consisted of wage workers. Historically, the wealth of the capitalist world system has been concentrated in the core countries comprising a small minority of the global population. By the 2020s, China's economic, social, and environmental contradictions are likely to converge, leading to a structural crisis that can no longer be resolved within the capitalist system. China could very well prove to be the weakest link of the global capitalist chain.
