ABSTRACT

The architecture profession has embraced the animation field because it is a powerful tool to visualize and communicate 3-D forms. There are various 3-D animation techniques in the visual arts industry, such as keyframe animation, morphing animation, kinematics animation, and particle animation. Besides creating fly-through animation, the motion-path method can be used with an animation snapshot to create models with repetitive components. Keyframe animation, path animation, motion-capture animation, simulation, as well as skeleton and joint animation offer designers the freedom to manipulate objects in various ways. In Maya, animated objects can be frozen into a sequence of static forms that can be subsequently integrated into the form-making process. Most actions in Maya will be recorded as history INPUTS nodes, which are available in the Attribute Editor and the Channel Box.
